  • 1 ½ cups Gruyère cheese, shredded

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. 2. Sauté the Onions
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add sliced onions. Stir occasionally until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
  5. 3. Season and Brown the Chicken
  6. While the onions cook, season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried thyme. In another skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and sear each side of the chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  8. Place browned chicken in the prepared baking dish. Pour beef broth over the chicken and top with caramelized onions. Sprinkle Gruyère cheese generously on top.
