Instructions
For the Steak:
- 1. Allow the sirloin steak to come to room temperature for even cooking.
- 2. Pat the steak dry with paper towels, then season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- 3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add olive oil to coat the pan.
- 4. Sear the steak for 4 minutes on each side until a nice brown crust forms. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
For the Shrimp:
- 1. In another pan, melt butter over medium heat.
- 2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 3. Add shrimp to the pan and cook for about 3 minutes, flipping once, until they turn pink.
- To Serve:
- 1. Plate your rested steak and elegantly arrange shrimp beside it.
- 2. Drizzle any leftover garlic butter from cooking over both steak and shrimp.
