Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

For the Steak:

  1. 1. Allow the sirloin steak to come to room temperature for even cooking.
  2. 2. Pat the steak dry with paper towels, then season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add olive oil to coat the pan.
  4. 4. Sear the steak for 4 minutes on each side until a nice brown crust forms. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

For the Shrimp:

  1. 1. In another pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. 3. Add shrimp to the pan and cook for about 3 minutes, flipping once, until they turn pink.
  4. To Serve:
  5. 1. Plate your rested steak and elegantly arrange shrimp beside it.
  6. 2. Drizzle any leftover garlic butter from cooking over both steak and shrimp.
