- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

- 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions
- 1. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2. Prepare the Broccoli: Rinse the broccoli florets under cold water and pat them dry. If desired, cut them into smaller pieces for faster roasting.
- 3. Season the Broccoli: In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss until the florets are evenly coated.
- 4. Roast the Broccoli: Spread the seasoned broccoli in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until tender and slightly charred.
- 5. Smash the Broccoli: Remove from the oven and gently smash each floret using a fork or potato masher, being careful not to turn them into mush.
- 6. Add Cheese and Lemon: Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the smashed broccoli and drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
