Description

Savor the zesty flavor of shrimp tacos topped with crunchy cabbage slaw—quick, vibrant, and perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Tacos:

  • 1 lb fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 8 soft corn tortillas
  • 2 cups green or red cabbage (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For the Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • Hot sauce to taste

Instructions

For the Tacos:

  1. 1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. 2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, lime juice, paprika, cumin, and salt. Toss the shrimp in this mixture until fully coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. 3. While the shrimp marinates, shred the cabbage into thin strips and mix with lime juice and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. 4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Cook marinated shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. 5. Warm tortillas in another pan or directly over an open flame until soft and slightly charred.
  6. 6. Assemble tacos by placing cooked shrimp on warmed tortillas, topping with cabbage slaw, and drizzling with yogurt or sour cream mixed with hot sauce.
