Ingredients
Scale
For the Tacos:
- 1 lb fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 8 soft corn tortillas
- 2 cups green or red cabbage (shredded)
- 2 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- Hot sauce to taste
Instructions
For the Tacos:
- 1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, lime juice, paprika, cumin, and salt. Toss the shrimp in this mixture until fully coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 3. While the shrimp marinates, shred the cabbage into thin strips and mix with lime juice and salt in a separate bowl.
- 4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Cook marinated shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- 5. Warm tortillas in another pan or directly over an open flame until soft and slightly charred.
- 6. Assemble tacos by placing cooked shrimp on warmed tortillas, topping with cabbage slaw, and drizzling with yogurt or sour cream mixed with hot sauce.
