Indulge in the rich flavors of garlic and succulent shrimp tossed with al dente pasta, creating a comforting dish that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Pasta:
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb fresh large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
For the Sauce:
- Juice of 1 lemon (about 3 tbsp)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- 1. Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti or linguine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Sauté Garlic:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine olive oil and butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not burnt.
- 3. Add Shrimp:
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- 4. Create the Sauce:
- Pour in freshly squeezed lemon juice and let everything simmer together for another 3 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- 5. Combine Everything:
- Add the drained pasta directly into the skillet with shrimp and sauce. Toss gently to coat all pasta strands in the sauce. If too dry, add an extra splash of olive oil.
- 6. Finish With Parsley:
- Sprinkle chopped parsley over the dish, toss once more, and serve warm.
