- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- 2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them in the prepared baking dish.
- 3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth; whisk to combine. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- 5. Add oregano and basil, stirring well. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 6. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well-coated.
- 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 8. Serve hot, drizzling extra sauce over the chicken.
