For the Lasagna:
- 9 no-boil lasagna noodles
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
For Seasoning:
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce; let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese with salt, pepper, and oregano.
- 4. Start layering: Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a large baking dish (9×13 inches). Place three noodles on top, followed by half of the ricotta mixture and one-third of the mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with noodles topped by meat sauce and remaining mozzarella.
- 5. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil (avoiding contact with cheese) and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- 6. Let it cool for about ten minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm.
