For the Lasagna:

  • 9 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

For Seasoning:

  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce; let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  4. 4. Start layering: Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a large baking dish (9×13 inches). Place three noodles on top, followed by half of the ricotta mixture and one-third of the mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with noodles topped by meat sauce and remaining mozzarella.
  5. 5. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil (avoiding contact with cheese) and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. 6. Let it cool for about ten minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm.
