Scale
For the Dough:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2–3 tbsp water (to achieve desired consistency)
Instructions
For the Dough:
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast. Let sit for about five minutes until frothy.
- 2. Add melted butter and granulated sugar to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
- 3. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and cinnamon. Gradually add this dry mixture into your wet ingredients while stirring to form a sticky dough.
- 4. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about five minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5. Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled in size.
- 6. Once risen, punch down the dough, divide it into equal pieces, and shape them into balls. Place them in a greased baking pan close together but not touching.
- 7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for around 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
For the Glaze:
- 8. While the buns bake, mix powdered sugar with honey and water to create a glaze of your desired consistency.
- 9. Transfer baked buns to plates after cooling slightly, drizzle with glaze, and enjoy!
