Instructions

For the Sponge:

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. 3. In another bowl, beat eggs until frothy and mix in vanilla. Gradually combine both mixtures until smooth.
  4. 4. Spread the batter evenly onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until just set.

For the Filling:
