- 8 oz fettuccine pasta

- 1 cup heavy cream

- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- 2. Melt the Butter
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until bubbly but not browned.
- 3. Add Garlic
- Once the butter has melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
- 4. Pour in Heavy Cream
- Reduce heat to low and slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring constantly. Let it simmer gently for about two minutes.
- 5. Stir in Parmesan Cheese
- Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese into the cream mixture while stirring continuously until it melts smoothly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6. Combine Pasta and Sauce
- Toss the drained fettuccine into the skillet with the sauce. If it's too thick, add reserved pasta water little by little until desired consistency is reached.
- 7. Serve and Enjoy
- Transfer to plates and sprinkle with extra Parmesan if desired.
