For the Filling:
- 3–4 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 3 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
For the Filling:
- 1. In a bowl, combine chopped apples with sugar and cinnamon. Toss until well coated and let sit for about 10 minutes.
For the Crust:
- 2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about an eighth of an inch thick.
- 4. Cut pastry into squares (approximately 4 inches per side).
- 5. Place a generous spoonful of apple filling in the center of each square.
- 6. Fold the pastry over to create triangles and press edges together to seal. Use a fork for added decoration if desired.
- 7. Brush each turnover with melted butter.
- 8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
